Supporting Students with Cognitive Impairments

Blossomland Learning Center provides positive learning environments and experiences that advance the well-being, academic success, and lifelong achievement of students with moderate to severe cognitive impairments, ages 3 to 26.

Making life-changing impact.

Collaboration & Transformation

Through a functional curriculum that emphasizes skills, competencies, and orientations that are required for living in a supervised setting, Blossomland Learning Center operates as a separate special education program and serves those students who, as determined by their individualized education plans, require placement in a facility outside of the traditional school setting.

Outcomes

Learning goes beyond traditional classroom experiences! Students, alongside their peers, learn life and job skills to help them become as independent as possible after leaving Blossomland Learning Center. Many area businesses and community agencies provide opportunities for students to excel beyond the classroom, preparing them to join the workforce or become a volunteer.
