Homeless Youth Services
Berrien RESA works to ensure students experiencing homelessness and temporary living situations enroll, regularly attend and succeed in school.
We work closely with all of the shelters in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties, families, students and school districts.
We primarily serve preschool and school-age youth including teens living without a parent or guardian. Services are also available to siblings ages 0-5, and teens 18+ who do not yet have a high school diploma or GED.
3% of the student population in Berrien county was identified as McKinney-Vento eligible in 2022-2023 school year.
